Questions before you order?
Finding a truck, ordering ahead, paying or joining as a vendor: the answers live here, one topic at a time.
The basics
Open the app to see the food trucks, trailers, carts and pop-up kitchens near you, on a map or in a list. Pick one, browse the menu, customize your order and pay. When your food is ready, you get a notification and walk up to pick it up.

Mobile food businesses: food trucks, food trailers, food carts and pop-up kitchens.
Vendors publish their current location and operating hours in their own app, so the map shows where they’re parked right now and whether they’re open.
Ordering and pickup
Yes. You can customize menu items with the options each vendor offers before you place the order.
The app sends you order-status notifications as the vendor accepts and prepares your order, and again when it’s ready to pick up.
Vendors manage item availability in real time, so sold-out items are marked as unavailable on their menu.
Talk to the vendor at the window first: they made your food and can sort it out fastest. You can also write to us and we’ll help.
Payments and fees
No. There are no platform fees for customers. You pay the vendor’s menu prices.
You pay securely in the app when you place your order. Payments are processed through the vendor’s connected payment provider, Square or Stripe.
Card payments are handled by the payment provider the vendor uses, Square or Stripe, not by BiteHopper.
For vendors
There’s no subscription to start. BiteHopper takes a single-digit commission on each order, only when an order comes in, and you keep your Square or Stripe account. We’ll walk you through exact pricing when we talk.
Payment processing is separate and charged by your payment provider at their rates.
You can connect an existing Square or Stripe account. Clover support is planned.
